The Windmill

By Robin Tulley

Once more it stands proud
Its sweeps all in place
West Blatchington Windmill
Presents a new face
With helpers at hand
We waited for the crane
To lift up the sweeps
Between showers of rain
The job now complete
A thank you is due
To the friends of the mill
And the conservation crew
It's battled the elements
192 years non stop
But resolutely still stands
On the hill at the top
With your support
It will continue to thrive
A testament to milling
keeping heritage alive
